The remainder, and who flexes

Every rule compresses reality, and compression guarantees a residue. Someone absorbs it. Rank is the right not to be that someone, and the dashboard never learns their name.

Runs on the page. Nothing is sent anywhere; the address bar carries the state.

The rule: 15-minute slots. Sixteen visits, as they took.

Over the band: 77 minutes in 8 visits. Idle inside it: 22 minutes.

The nurse absorbs 77 minutes across 8 visits — chases the interpreter, holds the extra patient inside her own overlap, persuades the surgeon, calls the pharmacy from the hallway. Above the nurse, the surgeon, the clinic manager, and the scheduler do not flex; that is what their rank is.

The audit: the better the nurse absorbs, the more the template assigns. In an asymmetric institution, competence lowers rank.

The dashboard. It reads the same in every state above, and it never learns her name.
